TIFF Viewer Server is a document and image viewing tool for organizations and individuals who work with scanned pages, fax files, and multipage TIFF documents. It combines a browser plug-in with a standalone viewer, allowing documents to be opened and handled in either environment. It also supports JPEG and other image types, and provides tools for viewing, editing, annotating, and printing files.
For multipage documents, thumbnail views help users navigate pages and manage their order. Pages can be rotated, flipped, deleted, or replaced, while document cleanup and automatic orientation correction help prepare scans for reading or sharing. Continuous scrolling and multipage viewing offer different ways to review longer files. Comment annotations, stamps, and time stamps can be placed on documents; redaction and whiteout tools are available for obscuring content. Undo supports up to 16 steps of operations.
The program can scan individual items or batches of documents, then use OCR to recognize text in faxes, receipts, mail, and other scanned material. Text search helps locate information within TIFF documents. Fillable forms can be opened with the Form Filler, and files can be converted to PDF or sent as email attachments. SharePoint support provides a way to save and retrieve TIFF files from a server, while drag-and-drop and thumbnail context-menu features support document handling in the viewer and browser plug-in.
