ESF Database Migration Toolkit Professional Editon
Welcome to the download page of ESF Database Migration Toolkit Professional Edition, a cutting-edge software developed by DBSofts Inc. This powerful toolkit is specifically designed for Windows ...

ESF Database Migration Toolkit Standard moves tables and data between database systems, office files and text formats. A guided workflow selects the source, destination and objects to transfer. It can carry schema details, keys, indexes and large objects, while options for field mapping, SQL filtering and character-set conversion help adapt data to the target format. ODBC sources are also supported.

ESF Database Migration Toolkit Standard is a Windows utility for moving databases and file-based data between different storage formats. It is intended for database administrators, developers and other users who need to transfer tables and records without rebuilding each destination manually. A step-by-step wizard guides the process: choose a source, select an output format, pick the objects to migrate and start the conversion.
The toolkit works with Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, IBM DB2, IBM Informix, InterSystems Caché, Teradata, SQLite, Firebird and InterBase. It also handles Microsoft Access and Excel, Visual FoxPro, Paradox, Lotus, dBase, CSV and text files. Data exposed through an ODBC data source can be used as a source for conversion. This range supports migrations between database systems as well as transfers from office files and text-based data into a database.
During migration, the program can transfer table structures and data, along with supported schemas for Oracle, SQL Server 2000 and later, and PostgreSQL. It can preserve primary and foreign keys, indexes, auto-increment fields, default values and large text or binary objects. Options to map table and field names, adjust data types and field properties, and filter records with SQL statements help adapt a transfer to the target system. These controls are useful when the source and destination differ in naming conventions or schema requirements.
Character-set conversion supports Unicode data, including UTF-8, Latin and CP1250, among other character sets. The software can convert data between differing encodings during a migration, reducing the need for separate text conversion steps. DBMS native APIs and batch insert or update operations are used to transfer records, including larger data sets. Users can select the objects to process and apply filters rather than migrating an entire source database unchanged.
The toolkit is suitable for database replacement, consolidating data from multiple formats, moving a desktop database to a server platform, or copying selected records for development and reporting. It is distributed as demo software and supports Windows 10 and Windows 11, as well as several earlier Windows releases. Migration results can depend on the source and destination systems and their available drivers, particularly when connecting through ODBC.
