OGGResizer reduces the size of OGG Vorbis audio files by recompressing them at a lower bitrate. A selection of bitrates lets users balance file size against sound quality, while a preview feature helps assess the result. It can be used to shrink music or audio assets for storage, transfer, or software projects. The program is trialware.

OGGResizer is a Windows utility for reducing the size of OGG Vorbis audio files. It recompresses existing files at a lower bitrate, making it useful for people who need to save storage space or prepare audio for devices and projects with limited capacity. The reduction comes from lossy re-encoding, so the output may not retain the same sound quality as the source.
The program offers a selection of bitrates for setting the balance between file size and audio quality. Lower bitrates generally produce smaller files but can make compression artifacts more noticeable, particularly in complex music. A preview feature helps users compare the result before settling on a setting, rather than choosing solely by the expected size reduction.
OGGResizer focuses on this specific conversion task: reducing the size of OGG Vorbis files by encoding them again. It is intended for existing OGG audio, rather than as a general-purpose audio editor or a tool for converting a broad range of formats. Recompression can substantially shrink a file, but the outcome depends on its original encoding and the selected bitrate; repeated lossy encoding can further affect sound quality.
Typical uses include making an OGG music collection take up less disk space, reducing audio assets for a game or software project, and creating smaller files for transfer or storage. Users working with sound effects as well as music can apply the same bitrate choices, checking the preview to judge whether the reduced size is worth the change in audio detail.
OGGResizer is trialware from Skyshape Software. Its documented Windows support includes Windows 10 and earlier Windows releases; Windows 11 support is not established here. The utility is narrowly focused on OGG Vorbis compression, so it is best suited to users who already have OGG files and want to reduce their size without switching to another audio format.
