ShixxNOTE for Windows 10 - Full description
ShixxNOTE is a desktop sticky-note and reminder application for people who want tasks, short messages and recurring events visible while they work. Notes stay on the desktop for quick reference, and individual reminders can be configured with alarms. The program also supports sending notes to other people, making it useful for sharing memos across a home or office network or by email.
Each note can be tailored to make its purpose easy to recognize. Users can change the background and title-bar colors, choose fonts and text formatting, and rename the memo. Several preset color themes are available, or a color can be selected from the spectrum. Text can be organized into paragraphs and bullet points, with options to convert text to uppercase or lowercase. These controls help distinguish a deadline from a general reminder or give a shared message a more readable layout.
Notes can remain on the desktop indefinitely or be set to expire after a chosen period, such as an hour, the end of the day or a specified future date. Reminders can trigger an alarm once or repeat on a recurring schedule, which suits both one-time tasks and regular events. Additional display and behavior settings include the date format, whether to show a scroll bar, and whether to request confirmation before deleting a note. Together, these options let a user keep a note unobtrusive, visible, or temporary as needed.
For sharing and backup, ShixxNOTE imports and exports notes in SHX format. A memo can be sent to a computer on the local network using its name or IP address, or distributed over the Internet by email. Contact groups support sending batches of email attachments, which can simplify distributing the same information to several recipients. Notes can also be attached to emails for forwarding or keeping with a message thread.
ShixxNOTE is trialware and is available for Windows 10 and Windows 11, as well as Windows 7, in 32-bit and 64-bit editions. It is suited to users who want lightweight desktop reminders and customizable memos, with options for both personal task tracking and direct note sharing. Network and email delivery make it more collaborative than a simple on-screen note, while expiration and recurring alarms cover different reminder routines.
