Tune Sweeper helps organize an iTunes music library by finding duplicate tracks and presenting them in groups for review. Users can compare track details, choose which copy to keep manually, or apply rules based on quality, length, date added or last played. It can also find computer tracks missing from iTunes, locate missing album tracks, add artwork and correct file information. iTunes and .NET Framework are required.

Tune Sweeper is a Windows utility for finding and managing duplicate tracks in an iTunes music library. It groups matching entries so users can compare them before deciding what to remove, rather than treating every result as an interchangeable file. The detailed information shown for each track helps distinguish copies and choose which library entry should remain.
Searches can be narrowed using criteria such as artist, track length, album, track number or the number of matching entries. Once duplicates are grouped, a track can be selected for keeping manually. Alternatively, Tune Sweeper can choose which copy to retain according to quality, length, date added or date last played. This makes it possible to review results individually or apply a consistent rule across groups, then remove unwanted entries from the library.
The utility also supports several library-maintenance tasks beyond duplicate removal. It can look for music files on the computer that are not currently in the iTunes library and add detected tracks. For albums with incomplete information, it can search for missing tracks and add artwork to files that lack it. Tune Sweeper can also correct and rewrite track information so that supported files display accurate metadata in the library.
These tools are useful when a music collection has accumulated repeated imports, missing album art or tracks stored on the computer but absent from iTunes. Grouped comparison helps reduce the risk of deleting the preferred copy, while automatic keep rules provide a quicker approach when many duplicates need attention. The separate search and metadata features help tidy the collection without limiting the workflow to duplicate entries alone.
Tune Sweeper is distributed as demo software and requires iTunes and .NET Framework to be installed and running. It supports Windows 10 and Windows 11, as well as Windows 8. The program works with an iTunes library, so it is intended for users who manage their music collection through iTunes rather than as a general-purpose duplicate-file finder.
