WinCalendar for Windows 10 - Full description
WinCalendar is a desktop calendar and date-entry tool for people who need to check dates, keep simple appointment notes or add dates to documents and spreadsheets. It can run as a standalone Windows application, or work with Microsoft Word and Excel as an integrated date picker and calendar generator.
In standalone mode, the calendar can be opened with a hotkey or from the system tray. Its viewing size and features are customizable, and scrolling through dates is designed for quick navigation; the mouse wheel can move between dates, while a keyboard shortcut jumps directly to today. Selecting a date copies it to the clipboard in a user-chosen format, which is useful when entering dates into another application or form.
WinCalendar can store daily appointments, birthdays and personal holidays. It also includes built-in holidays for ten countries through 2020. When used with Word or Excel, it can insert dates through a picker and generate printable calendars. Stored appointments can appear on those generated calendars, helping turn personal notes into a paper schedule without re-entering them.
The combination of a desktop date picker and document-based calendar creation suits office users who regularly work with dates in Word or Excel, as well as people who want a compact calendar for checking dates and tracking occasions. The generated calendars provide a way to review scheduled items away from the computer, while the clipboard feature supports quick date entry in other programs.
WinCalendar is distributed as demo software. The available operating-system information lists Windows 7 and Windows 8, including their 64-bit editions, and Windows 10, including its 64-bit edition. Microsoft Word and Excel integration requires those applications for the relevant features; standalone calendar functions are available separately.
