Samsung PC Studio for Windows 10 - Full description
Samsung PC Studio is a Windows desktop suite for managing a compatible Samsung mobile phone from a computer. It brings together tools for contacts, organizer data, messages, media files and phone connectivity, serving owners who want to organize phone content or move files between a handset and a PC. Connection Manager lets users choose a supported link, including USB, Bluetooth, infrared or serial, depending on the phone and available equipment.
The personal information tools can retrieve phonebook and organizer entries, as well as add, edit or delete saved data. A synchronization feature compares and updates personal information between the phone and a PC personal information management program. This is useful for keeping contact and schedule details aligned across devices, or for working with records on a larger screen before transferring changes back to the handset.
For messages and media, PC Studio can manage short messages and multimedia messages, and includes an MMS Composer for creating multimedia messages to send through the connected phone. Its file browser displays multimedia content stored on the handset and supports downloads to the computer and uploads from the PC. The suite also provides a multimedia player and music-library tools: it can retrieve track and album information from an audio CD before ripping songs, and look up identifying tags for music files to help correct missing or inaccurate details. A similar-music function builds a related listening list from a selected song or artist.
The phone can also serve as a modem for accessing the Internet through the computer. These functions make the suite useful for transferring photos, music and other media, maintaining phone records, composing messages on a PC, and connecting a computer through a mobile handset. Available features depend on the connected Samsung model and connection method.
Samsung PC Studio is freeware for Windows, with support listed for older Windows releases from Windows 2000 through Windows 8, including specified 64-bit editions. It is intended for Samsung mobile phones that can connect through one of its supported interfaces; it is not a general-purpose manager for phones from other manufacturers. Compatibility with current Windows systems and newer Samsung devices should be checked before installation.
