SureSync for Windows 10 - Full description
SureSync is a Windows file synchronization and replication application for organizations that need to keep files available across PCs, servers, and remote locations. It supports scheduled transfers for data protection, distributing files to multiple destinations, centralizing backups, and sharing files between sites. Administrators can select different replication rules according to how changes, updates, and deletions should be handled, rather than relying on a single transfer pattern.
Replication jobs can use one-way or multi-way rules. One-way replication can send files from one source to one destination or distribute them to several destinations. Multi-way rules support exchanges among multiple locations, including peer-to-peer arrangements. The selected rule determines how the job handles file changes and deletions, making it important to choose a method that matches the intended direction of data flow and the way each location should be kept up to date.
A Windows service scheduler automates recurring work. Administrators can combine relations into a job and set it to run at intervals ranging from multiple times a day to selected days, weeks, or months. Jobs can also be run on demand. A tree-structured preview presents root paths and planned actions together, helping administrators review a replication setup before running it. Job folders group relations and schedules for easier management, particularly when a centralized database contains many tasks.
SureSync includes controls for managing access to replication work. Permissions can be assigned at the job-folder, relation, and schedule level, allowing users to have different access within a shared database. File security settings can also be managed during copying: available controls include Windows file permissions, auditing information, and ownership. Options cover preserving security objects on replaced files, applying folder security to existing folders, and copying file security objects even when the file itself is not copied. These settings are useful when replicated data must retain its access and auditing configuration.
Typical uses include maintaining copies of business files between offices, distributing shared content, and automating backup centralization. The standard scheduling approach is suitable for recurring or manually started replication; continuous real-time replication and other advanced capabilities are offered through add-on products. SureSync is trialware and is intended for Windows environments. Windows 10 is among the supported operating systems; Windows 11 compatibility is not established here.
