WMS Log Analyzer Professional Edition for Windows 10 - Full description
WMS Log Analyzer Professional Edition is a desktop tool for examining logs from streaming media servers. It is intended for media administrators and site operators who need to understand how visitors use streamed content, identify popular files and review server activity. Alongside Microsoft Windows Media Services, it supports log formats from Adobe Flash Media Server, Wowza and several other media server products.
The analyzer turns server records into reports with statistics on loaded files, visitors, clip playing time and visitor countries. Results appear in tables and diagrams, helping operators compare activity and spot patterns without manually combing through raw log entries. Reports are generated dynamically, and a right-click on a report item can open a related subreport for a more focused view. Flexible filters narrow the displayed data to the fields or activity relevant to a particular investigation.
For routine analysis, the program can process multiple log files in one job and detect supported formats automatically. It can retrieve logs from local or network paths, websites, FTP servers and databases accessed through ODBC. Compressed logs in formats such as ZIP, GZIP, BZIP2, 7z and RAR can be read without first unpacking them, which reduces preparation when archives arrive from different servers or storage systems. Reports can also be printed for sharing or record keeping.
Supported formats include Windows Media Services logs, including versions 4.1 and 9 Series or later, IIS Media Services, Adobe Flash Media Server, Wowza, Highwinds, WindStorm, FlashFlood and Macromedia Flash Media, as well as Windows Media Services CSV and other formats. This makes the software useful in mixed media-server environments where logs may differ between services or installations. Its reports can support content usage reviews, visitor analysis and operational checks based on recorded streaming activity.
WMS Log Analyzer Professional Edition is commercial trialware from ExactTrend. The supplied system list includes Windows XP through Windows 10, including 64-bit editions where indicated; Windows 10 is the latest Windows release in that list. It is a Windows desktop application, and its data sources include local files, network locations, web and FTP services, and ODBC-accessible databases.
