BD Rebuilder is a Windows utility for reducing the size of Blu-ray video content so it can fit on smaller-capacity media or be stored more compactly. The program can create reduced-size copies for DVD media, commonly referred to as BD5 or BD9, as well as copies for Blu-ray recordable discs. These options let users target different storage capacities, including DVD-sized media and a standard 25 GB Blu-ray disc. BD Rebuilder encodes the video to fit the chosen output size; the resulting image or files can then be written to compatible media using an appropriate disc-burning tool.
