Bimoid messenger for Windows 10 - Full description
Bimoid Messenger is a lightweight instant messaging client for people who want to communicate through a Bimoid server. It can connect to a server on a local network or another network when the user has its address and the necessary access. The client can also be configured to connect to the Bimoid community server, making it possible to try the service without setting up a private server.
Contacts are stored on the server and can be arranged in groups. Several contact-list views and compact window layouts help keep the roster manageable, while tabbed messaging lets users switch between conversations in one window. Messages support delivery reports, so the sender can see whether a message has been delivered. The client handles Unicode text and includes transparent message encryption support.
Additional tools support everyday chat: a built-in spelling checker can help catch typing errors, and pop-up notifications make incoming messages easier to notice. Animated smiles and status pictures add visual cues to conversations and presence information. Users can set or edit their avatars, search the user directory by account name or email, and customize the interface with system themes or skins. English and Russian interface languages are available.
Bimoid Messenger is suited to individuals and groups using a Bimoid server for private or community messaging, including organizations that host their own service on a local network. Its server-based design means access depends on having a reachable server and valid permissions; it is not a standalone peer-to-peer chat client. The freeware client is intended for Windows, with support listed through Windows 10. The feature set focuses on text conversations, contact organization, and presence rather than a broad suite of collaboration tools.
