Syncrify provides remote backup and folder synchronization using the rsync protocol over HTTP. It compresses data and transfers only file changes, with SSL/HTTPS for communications and optional AES protection for stored files. Users can restore files through the client or a web browser, while administrators manage accounts, monitor sessions, schedule tasks, and generate reports from a web console.

Syncrify is remote backup and synchronization software from Synametrics for organizations and administrators who need to transfer files between computers and a central server. It uses the rsync protocol over HTTP, with SSL/HTTPS encryption for communications and optional AES encryption to protect files stored on the server. Backups can run in either direction, allowing client-to-server and server-to-client transfers as well as folder synchronization across machines.
For routine backups, Syncrify compares source and destination files and transfers only changed data. This incremental approach reduces network traffic compared with repeatedly sending complete files. Files are compressed before transmission, and scheduled tasks let administrators automate recurring backup or synchronization jobs. Multiple versions of backup files can be retained on the server, giving users earlier copies to restore when needed; versioning is among the professional features available for a limited evaluation period.
Restoration is available through the Syncrify client or a web browser. The client can recover an entire profile, a folder, or an individual file, while browser access lets users retrieve backed-up files from another computer without installing the client there. Each user has an ID and password, and administrators can monitor active connections. The web-based console also provides server activity and memory information, session counts, active-user details, repository paths, and disk usage. Administrators can add, rename, or modify user accounts and review reports by user or date, including reports on inactive users, with options to send reports by email.
Additional controls support day-to-day server management. Administrators configure a master password and email settings for SMTP-based notifications, then can set alerts for incorrect password attempts, block IP addresses, and adjust HTTP settings. These tools make Syncrify suitable for centrally managed backups, remote file recovery, and keeping selected folders synchronized between locations, with user access and backup activity visible from the server console.
Syncrify is offered as a demo, and its free edition is limited to non-commercial use, one user account, and up to five profiles. Two-way synchronization, server-to-client backup, versioning, encryption, and plugins are not included in that free edition, but can be evaluated for 30 days through the professional features. The software supports Windows desktop and Windows Server systems, including Windows 10 and 11 and several Windows Server releases.
