ACDSee Photo Manager for Windows 10 - Full description
ACDSee Photo Manager combines a folder-based photo browser, image organizer and editing tools for photographers who want to manage and improve pictures without first importing them into a separate library. It works directly with existing folders, displaying files in real time and providing ways to find images by date, event, camera information and other criteria. This approach suits personal photo collections as well as larger sets that need consistent sorting and metadata.
For organization, photos can be grouped with custom categories, descriptive keywords, ratings and color labels. The program can edit EXIF and IPTC metadata, and one-click tagging brings selected images together for later editing or sharing. Photos can also be organized during transfer from a camera or storage device. Map view and geotagging help locate images with GPS data; users can add location information themselves, then select photos by zooming to a map marker.
Editing tools cover common corrections and more targeted adjustments. Red Eye Reduction provides controls for color and intensity, while Photo Repair uses Heal and Clone options to address blemishes and unwanted objects. A selection tool confines exposure, color, detail or effect changes to a chosen area, and saved selections can be reused. Lighting controls help recover detail in bright highlights and dark shadows, with automatic adjustment or individual sliders for finer tuning.
For creative finishing, the editor includes more than 20 effects, including Orton, Lomo and Collage styles, with previews before applying a result. Effects can be applied to a full image or a selected area. Borders and text can be customized with different colors, textures and thicknesses; edge treatments, drop shadows and vignettes offer further ways to frame a subject. Original photos are preserved during editing, allowing changes to be reconsidered without losing the source image.
ACDSee Photo Manager is trialware for Windows, including Windows 10 and Windows 11. Its combination of browsing, cataloging, map-based location sorting and non-destructive editing is useful for organizing camera imports, maintaining a searchable archive, correcting everyday photo flaws and preparing images for sharing or printing.
