RadiAnt Viewer for Windows 10 - Full description
RadiAnt Viewer is a desktop DICOM viewer for opening and reviewing medical imaging studies on Windows. It is intended for clinicians, imaging professionals and others who need to inspect DICOM files without using a full picture archiving and communication system. It can display single-frame and multi-frame studies in monochrome or RGB, including files saved with uncompressed, RLE, JPEG lossy, JPEG lossless and JPEG 2000 compression.
Image controls support common review tasks. Zooming and panning help examine regions of interest, while brightness and contrast adjustments change how image details appear. Window presets provide ready-made display settings, and measurement tools report length and density. These controls are useful for navigating a study and inspecting its images; the viewer does not replace clinical interpretation or diagnostic equipment.
RadiAnt can browse datasets containing many images, with multi-core and multi-processor support and asynchronous reading intended to keep image loading responsive. Its interface focuses on viewing and navigation rather than image editing. A standalone 32-bit version can browse patient studies stored on CD, DVD or flash media, allowing the viewer to be used directly with removable study media.
Typical uses include opening DICOM files for review, moving through image series, adjusting their display and taking basic length or density measurements. The program is freeware. The supplied platform information includes Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10, with 32-bit and 64-bit editions indicated for those systems. Compatibility with newer Windows releases is not established by that information.
