Alternate Pic View Lite is a lightweight image viewer and basic editor from AlternateTools for people who want to browse photos and make straightforward changes without using a full-featured graphics package. Its simple interface keeps common viewing and editing tasks accessible, whether someone is sorting through a collection or opening an individual image for a quick adjustment.
The program opens common image formats, including JPEG, BMP, GIF and PNG. After opening a picture, users can resize it, rotate it or flip it, which is useful for correcting orientation or preparing an image for another purpose. Cropping helps remove unwanted edges, while brightness and contrast controls allow simple tonal adjustments. These tools suit routine edits where a quick correction is more important than advanced image processing.
Slideshow mode presents a collection of images in sequence, making it possible to review photos without opening each file separately. It can be used for casual viewing or to display a set of images during a presentation. The viewing and editing tools are combined in one application, so users can inspect an image and make basic changes within the same workflow rather than switching to a separate editor for every small task.
Alternate Pic View Lite is suited to home photo browsing, quick image corrections and viewing collections on computers where a compact utility is preferable to a larger editing suite. Its offline operation means images can be viewed and adjusted without an internet connection. The software is freeware and is intended for Windows, including Windows 10 and Windows 11, as well as several earlier Windows editions and Windows Server releases.
