Adobe SpeedGrade for Windows 10 - Full description

Adobe SpeedGrade is a professional color-grading application for editors, filmmakers, colorists and visual-effects artists who need to correct footage and shape a consistent visual style. Its layer-based workflow separates adjustments into manageable grades, making it possible to balance an image globally and refine selected parts without treating every correction as a single operation.

The Lumetri Deep Color Engine provides GPU-accelerated processing for file-based footage, including RAW and high-dynamic-range material. Its 32-bit-per-channel floating-point processing is designed to preserve detail in bright highlights and dark shadows during grading. Primary corrections adjust the overall frame, while secondary corrections target particular color ranges. Flexible masks can isolate areas, be tracked or animated, and use adjustable feathering to blend corrections into the image.

SpeedGrade supports a range of production formats, including DPX, Alexa, RED, QuickTime, Targa, TIFF, Phantom, Weisscam and OpenEXR. Lookup table support helps carry a chosen color treatment between production stages. For footage from different cameras, color-space matching can use Macbeth color charts; gamma controls help address irregularities and color shifts, including calibration for QuickTime output. Stereoscopic tools provide depth placement and automatic geometric and colorimetric correction.

For editing workflows, sequences can be sent from Adobe Premiere Pro through Direct Link, while EDL files can be imported from other applications. Look files can be shared with Adobe After Effects and Photoshop to keep visual treatments consistent across projects. The interface brings grading tasks into one workspace, and input options include a mouse and keyboard, trackball, tablet or professional grading panel. These tools suit projects ranging from camera matching and shot balancing to stylized looks and stereoscopic finishing.

SpeedGrade is trialware for Windows and Mac OS X. Its stated Windows requirements are Windows 7 with Service Pack 1 or Windows 8; the stated Mac requirements are Mac OS X 10.6.8 or 10.7. The grading workflow uses GPU acceleration, and the program is intended for professional video post-production rather than general photo editing.
