EagleGet for Windows 10 - Full description
EagleGet is a freeware download manager for Windows that helps organize file transfers and capture online media. It is suited to people who regularly download large files, need to recover interrupted transfers, or want to save videos and music from supported websites. Its download accelerator divides a file into multiple parts and downloads those parts simultaneously, which can improve transfer speed when the server and connection allow it.
The manager can resume downloads interrupted by a lost connection, system crash, or power outage. Instead of starting again, users can continue a supported transfer from where it stopped. EagleGet also organizes downloads in a central interface, making it easier to monitor progress and manage multiple files than relying only on a browser’s download panel. Browser integration supports Chrome, Firefox, Opera, and Internet Explorer, allowing downloads to be handed off from those browsers to the manager.
EagleGet includes a video detection feature called Video Sniffer that identifies media available on web pages. It can capture common and HTML5 videos, including HD streams up to 720p or 1080p when those qualities are available. The tool can also batch-download web videos, which is useful when saving several items from a site. Availability and quality depend on the source page and its media; the feature does not make every online video downloadable.
For audio, EagleGet can convert downloaded online music videos into MP3 files, including for use as mobile-phone ringtones. It can also launch an installed antivirus or security tool to scan completed downloads. The program’s main uses are accelerating and resuming file downloads, collecting supported web videos, and converting downloaded media for offline listening. Users should still check downloaded files with security software and follow the rules of the sites hosting the content.
EagleGet is freeware and the supplied platform information lists Windows XP through Windows 10, including 64-bit editions where noted. It does not establish support for Windows 11, so compatibility on that system should not be assumed. Browser integrations and media detection may also depend on browser and website changes. The installer is approximately 10 MB.
